Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2, 2026

Electrician Scout(“we”) is run by Jacob Pike in Indianapolis, Indiana. We try to keep this plain and honest: we collect as little as we can, we don’t sell your personal information, and we tell you what the tools we use do.

What we collect

Your account email when you sign up, and basic billing details when you subscribe. Payments are processed by Stripe and we never store your card number. Privacy-friendly analytics about how pages are used (which pages help, which fall flat), and only after you accept analytics on our cookie banner. Standard server logs (e.g., IP address, browser) kept briefly for security and reliability by our hosting provider.

Cookies & analytics

Google Analytics only loads after you click “Allow analytics” on our banner; if you decline, it never loads and sets no analytics cookies. We also use Vercel’s privacy-friendly, cookie-less analytics. You can change your mind anytime by clearing the site data in your browser.

How we use it

To create and operate your account, send the opportunity digests and account emails you signed up for, process your subscription, understand and improve the site, and keep it secure. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that help us run the product, acting on our behalf: Supabase (database/account storage), Vercel(hosting & analytics), Stripe (subscription payments), Resend (email delivery), Google Analytics (usage analytics, with consent), and Anthropic (AI scoring of public records; note: we send public-record details, never your personal information, to the AI). We may disclose information if required by law.

About the opportunity data (public records about third parties)

The commercial-property opportunities we surface come from public government records (permits, property transfers, business registrations, code violations, health inspections, and public bids), which may include the names of owners, businesses, or contractors on those records. We process this public information for a single purpose: to surface commercial electricalbusiness-development opportunities for the contractors who subscribe. We organize and cite it; we don’t create private profiles of individuals, and we don’t use it to evaluate anyone’s eligibility for employment, credit, housing, or insurance. If you believe a record that mentions you should be corrected or removed, email support@electricianscout.com and we’ll look into it.

Your choices

Decline analytics on the banner at any time. Ask us to delete your account and email by emailing support@electricianscout.com. We’ll never share your email with anyone outside the providers above.

Your rights & data retention

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Just email support@electricianscout.com and we’ll honor it. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA to know, delete, and correct personal information and to not be discriminated against for exercising them; we do not sell or “share” your personal information as those terms are defined by law. We keep your account information for as long as your account is active, and delete it on request.

Security & changes

We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards, though no system is perfectly secure. We’ll update this page if our practices change and revise the date above.
