These terms govern your use of Electrician Scout(the “Service”), operated by Jacob Pike in Indianapolis, Indiana. By using the site or creating an account, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

What Electrician Scout is

Electrician Scout surfaces commercial electrical business-development opportunities compiled from public records (such as permits, property transfers, business registrations, and public bids). You can create an account and choose a paid plan to receive opportunities for the areas you serve.

No guarantee of results

We help you find opportunities and reach the right people early. We do not guarantee that you will win work, close any deal, or achieve any particular result. Outcomes depend on your own efforts, pricing, and relationships.

Accuracy of information & estimates, provided “as is”

Opportunity information is drawn from third-party public records and is provided “as is” and “as available.” Public records can be incomplete, delayed, or contain errors. You are responsible for independently verifying any information (we show you the source for exactly that reason) before acting on it. We don’t warrant the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any listing.

Some fields are our estimates or inferences, not measured facts — for example estimated job values, Local Law 97 fine exposure, and equipment age or refrigerant type (often inferred from a building’s age rather than a permit). We label these as estimates and hedge them on purpose. Treat them as informational starting points, not appraisals or assessed figures, and confirm them before you rely on or quote them.

Acceptable use

Use the Service for your own legitimate business development. Don’t resell or redistribute the data as a competing product, scrape the site, attempt to break or overload it, or use it for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable law (including laws governing contact and marketing). Don’t use opportunity details to send spam.

Prohibited uses (not a consumer report)

Electrician Scout is a business-development tool, not a consumer reporting agency, and the information we provide is not a “consumer report”under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) or any similar law. You may not use the Service or its data, in whole or in part, for any FCRA-regulated purpose — including screening, evaluating, or making decisions about a person’s eligibility for employment, credit, housing or tenancy, or insurance, or for any similar eligibility-screening purpose. The data is about commercial properties and business activity, not a basis for judging any individual.

Your outreach is your responsibility

Any letters, call scripts, or messages the Service drafts for you are optional templates to help you start. You are the sender.You are solely responsible for how, when, and to whom you send them, and for complying with every law that governs your outreach — including the CAN-SPAM Act (commercial email), the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (calls and texts), and any state equivalents and do-not-contact or do-not-call rules. We never send anything on your behalf.

Subscriptions & payment

When paid plans launch, they will be billed through our payment processor (Stripe) on the terms shown at checkout, month to month, with no long-term lock-in. You can cancel anytime and we don’t make cancelling difficult. Fees are stated on the pricing page and may change with notice for future billing periods.

Intellectual property

The Service (our software, branding, scoring, and the way we organize and present information) belongs to Electrician Scout. The underlying public records are public information; our compilation, scoring, and presentation are ours.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, and Electrician Scout is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or business, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Indiana.
